Bible Passage: Joshua 1: 1-9, Joshua 5: 13-15
Ever tried to follow in someone else’s big footsteps? Maybe you were the new teacher replacing the one everyone loved, or the new boss trying to carry someone else’s vision, or the step-parent asked to fill a void. These are challenges anyone can face.
Jesus knocks on the door of our lives – and community – asking to come in and be with us (Revelation 3:20). He is waiting for anyone to open the door and let him in. If you’re feeling like the shoes just don’t fit, you are the “anyone” he’s seeking. This week we look at the life of Joshua, a person who had to follow in the footsteps of Moses as leader of the Israelites, and listen for the voice of Jesus together. Read along with our scripture reading guide as we walk our way toward the weekend.
