39 Salvations @ Week 2 of Gardom Lake - Rikk Kieft Update

Greetings from Gardom Lake,

20024085 10159168797515790 4435329958177803052 oWow, another incredibly hot and fantastic week! Our staff are still running on all cylinders, they are taking great care of the campers, taking time to connect with God and supporting each other.

Our speakers Chris Neufeld (Main Camp) and Tom Foster (Encounter) shared Jesus’s love clearly throughout the week. God’s Spirit moved and many campers received Christ as their Savior. We had 39 First time commitments and 69 recommitments out of the 167 campers that were here this week. We are in awe at the work of God’s Spirit, and the redeeming power of Christ. 70+ staff came together in His Name to serve and the fruit is overwhelming. I am truly grateful. Thank you all for your prayers and support to make this happen as well, I know that the community that prays and supports Gardom Lake Bible Camp is key to what happens here at camp. Feel free to pass on the Good news.

Chris N was also a huge blessing to our staff as well as he took time to connect with them, encourage them as well as give a daily devotional. Shout out to Karl Peters who came out for a few days to help with some work projects; and Herb and Gail who worked hard in the kitchen all week! This volunteer service really helps the ministry of Gardom Lake and encourages our staff team. Thank-you.

Additional Items:

We could use some volunteer help in our kitchen for a couple of weeks this summer. If you can come for a few days, a week, or even a few meals this will ease the load on our kitchen staff. Sleeping quarters for volunteer kitchen staff are available upstairs in the lodge.

It would be great to have some volunteers come out to help with a few projects around camp.  We are looking for people with some building skills, help with our amphitheater deck, sprinkler system for the lodge, building docks, and some general fixes around the camp. If you can help in any of these areas please call the office 250-838-6645 to let us know. When you are coming out to Gardom please check with our office to see if there are accommodations available or bring your own RV or tent to stay in since many of our weeks are full.

A few things that would be helpful – Sound Board and / or sewing serger

Please continue to pray for the physical, spiritual, and emotional health of our staff, safety for the kids, God’s guidance, and wisdom for the entire staff team as we continue to lead here at Gardom.

Shalom,

Rikk Kieft
