Whether we realize it or not in each moment, the world is full of chaos, war, persecution, and trials. The disciples thought that the coming of the messiah would bring order, peace, and restoration; that things would get better, not worse. And just like us, they looked to traditions, institutions and leaders for their hope.

If things are only going to get worse before they get better, where are we going to turn? Where does our hope lie? How are we going to know what to do?
