  • Shawn Klassen

    Lead Pastor

Shawn grew up in KGF, going to Sunday School, Youth Group, and serving twice as an intern! He spent the following couple of decades in ministry in other great churches, before returning to KGF in January 2023 to serve as Lead Pastor.

For the past 23 years, Shawn has been married to Lisa, his best friend and co-adventurer through life. They enjoy spending time with their incredibly creative and warm hearted daughter, Mackenzie.

Seeing people connect with Jesus and each other is hugely important to Shawn. He loves teaching through the Bible in a way that is accessible and practical. His hope is to see people discover and grow a meaningful, life-long walk with Jesus.
In his spare time, you’ll find Shawn out and about on tennis courts, beaches, mountains, and lakes. He loves to sit down with people over a nice cup of coffee or a plate of crispy chicken wings.
