Philemon 1:21-25

Culture has been defined as “the way of life, especially the general customs and beliefs, of a particular group of people at a particular time”. Yet if we look at our country or even just our city, it would be quite a challenge to define what our culture is.

What are the general customs and beliefs of Kelowna? Given the mix of perspectives, ideologies, and faiths represented here, trying to accurately describe our culture is like trying to nail five pounds of jello to a tree.

Whatever your own general customs are, whatever your way of life is, whatever your beliefs about life and community, we can all agree that they all have a profound impact on us. They shape who we are and how we engage with the world around us…and if we’re not careful, those same things can define how we walk with Jesus.
