James 2:1-13

What are a few of your favourite things? Can you name them?

We all have favourite flavours, colours, destinations, animals, and a host of other things.

What about people? That’s a bit more complicated, isn’t it? We all have people we enjoy being with, seek out, and prioritize time with. That’s normal.

But, do we play favourites? Do we judge and dismiss the poor? Do we despise the rich? Do we say we’re a loving community of faith, yet don’t break down the barriers that divide society?

“My brothers and sisters, show no partiality as you hold the faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory” writes James.
