Mark 7:9-23

“Say Cheese”. “Smile”. You’ve likely heard someone say that to you before taking your picture. And afterward, you’ll have the photo to prove it - look at your smiling face: you’re happy! … Or maybe not. After all, we can wear a smile for a picture, while at the same time, we’re a mess inside. You can be upset, angry, confused… and yet your grinning face will communicate something completely different.

Likewise, we can put on a “christian” face: one that looks great on the outside while the inside is a mess. We appear to be doing all the right things at all the right times… yet at the same time, our inner life is all wrong. How can we start living “from the inside out”?
