James 1:12-15

We read this amazing wisdom in Proverbs 4:23: “Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.”

Our hearts are fickle things. One minute we desire what is good and right, while the next we chase after what we know is harmful and destructive. It’s no wonder the Apostle Paul writes: “For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate.”

You and I are no strangers to temptation – we know its strength and its grip on us, and thus the need to keep our hearts with ALL vigilance. How can we approach those challenges with the wisdom God wants in our lives?
