James 5:19-20

One of the great pursuits of the Christian faith is to understand the truth of the Gospel in all its richness, and live it out in all its fullness. But if we’re honest, that great pursuit isn’t always at the forefront of our minds. Any number of life’s interruptions can lead us away from it. We get carried away by other distractions, other pursuits. We can let novel new ideas grab our attention and lead us in a different direction. We can get upset with situations or people in our church family and walk away from it all. Wandering from faith is nothing new, and if you haven’t done it, you probably know someone who has.
