May "Lunch with a Bunch" Recap

On Tuesday, May 28th, we enjoyed a 50s diner experience at our final senior's "Lunch with a Bunch" event of the spring.

Our attendees were greeted with 50s music, red & white decor, and 2 ladies even wore poodle skirts. We ate burgers, fries, and coleslaw out of red diner food baskets, and enjoyed sundaes in old-fashioned dishes. The servers wore 50s-style aprons and headpieces to add to the fun. After a game challenging us about prices in the 50s, Diane and Al Ganes shared their life stories. It was an encouragement to hear about their journey with the Lord and each other. After singing music from that era, we finished with a prayer time.

We count it a privilege to be a prayer furnace at KGF and to be a place where we can know and encourage each other in meaningful ways, worship together, be inspired in our faith journey, and create space for fellowship and fun.

Our next “Lunch with a Bunch” gathering will be at the end of September. If you'd like to join our team in planning and serving we would love to hear from you. We will post informal gatherings in the park over the summer months as they happen.

Special thanks to all who have helped with our spring launch.

See you in September!
